The Art of HOPE Art Contest & Scholarship!
WHAT….A…JOURNEEEYY!!!! Saturday June 26th, 2021, marked the finale to a labor of Love!! We hosted our 1st ‘Art of HOPE’ Luncheon, culminating our ‘The Art of HOPE Art Contest & Scholarship!’ We celebrated the Awesomeness of our middle school contestants who shared their talents in Visual Arts as well as their Hearts thru an essay titled, ‘What HOPE means to ME!’ After careful deliberation by our judges, who move in this space everyday as award winning visual artists and recognized educators and authors, the votes are cast and the tally is in!
AND THE WINNER IS……Ronald C., 8th Grade student, St Louis Public School District!!! Ronald receives a $250 scholarship award to a new Missouri MOST 529 College Savings Plan! On behalf of myself, our Board of Directors and team of volunteers, I'd like to say, CONGRATULATIONS RONALD!!!!!
Our goal is to encourage artistic expression in STL youth, all the while inspiring the community around them! So, THE BILLBOARD of Ronald's inspiring artwork sits at the corner of Olive & Compton in STL City (near Saint Louis University and Harris Stowe University) to be an inspiration to all the STL Community as we continue to rise from a very challenging 2020! You can check out his billboard from June 23rd to July 17th, 2021!
And remember, when we find ourselves crying in that dark room of despair, listen to the light of HOPE inside of us saying ‘Not To Give Up!’ Kudos to ALL of our Amazing contestants and TURN Restaurant for their wonderful food and service during our luncheon! Keep Making Art & Keep Spreading HOPE!! Till next year!!
